Property owners may make partial payments.  Any balance owing on February 1 will be penalized.  When making this payment, please be sure to indicate the property account number on which you are paying.

Installment Plans for Taxpayers over 65 Years Old or Disabled – “Quarter Pay”

A person who is over 65 or who is disabled may pay his/her current year taxes on their homestead in four installments, without penalty and interest.  The first ¼ installment is due by January 31.  If you would like to use this payment option, please contact our office so we can set up this schedule before the due date of January 31. Failure to make the first payment by January 31 will void this opportunity to pay with no penalty and interest.  The three remaining installments are due by March 31, May 31, and July 31.

Request For Installment Agreement For Taxes On Property In Disaster Area

This application is ONLY for the 2021 real and tangible personal property taxes for property in Jefferson County damaged by the severe weather caused by the February 13, 2021 Winter Storm or Hurricane Nicholas that began on September 14, 2021 in the State of Texas.  Please see “Qualifications” on the application to verify you are eligible for this benefit.

Taxes may be paid in person at any of the following locations by cash, check or credit/debit cards (convenience fee:  2.25% for property)
